X-LOCK is an innovative angle grinder system that allows accessory changes with just one click – 100% tool-free!
Instead of multiple small steps involving loose parts like clamping nuts, flanges, and keys with high effort, changing accessories is now much easier and faster. The tool change is now as convenient as changing a battery. Thanks to X-LOCK technology, the necessary accessories are always easily, quickly, and safely changed – whether with gloves or without – and completely tool-free.
And it's that simple:
Position the disc in the X-LOCK mount, click it into place, and you're done. The clicking sound gives users the assurance that the accessory is correctly seated on the tool and securely locked. To change a disc, simply unlock it with the lever and remove it.
While the machine is in operation, a patented mechanism prevents the disc from coming loose. This eliminates the problem of jammed nuts after the disc has seized. Additionally, the rare occurrence of loose nuts on the angle grinder is now a thing of the past with X-LOCK.
Furthermore, the X-LOCK system is fully backward compatible. This means that ATORN X-LOCK accessories can also be mounted on any conventional angle grinder – no need for dual inventory.

The name comes from the shape and function of the system: The X-LOCK mount has the shape of an "X," and the word "Lock" describes the locking function of the system.
- Can I use my X-LOCK accessories with my conventional angle grinder?
Yes, all of our ATORN X-LOCK accessories are compatible with conventional angle grinders.
- Can I use my existing accessories with my X-LOCK angle grinder?
This is not possible, as the accessories require a corresponding X-LOCK interface.
- Is the X-LOCK system really safe?
Yes, X-LOCK has successfully passed numerous lifetime and extreme stress tests.
- How can the disc stay in place if it is not screwed on?
The unique X-LOCK mechanism ensures that the disc is securely mounted on the tool – even without a flange, nut, or key. The disc clicks into place, locking the clamping jaws and thus the system.
- Can the disc come loose while the machine is in operation?
A patented mechanism prevents the disc from coming loose while the machine is running.
- Can I accidentally mount the X-LOCK accessory incorrectly?
No, unlike conventional accessories, X-LOCK accessories cannot be mounted incorrectly.
