What stresses my skin?

How can I protect my skin?

You can protect your skin through systematic skin protection. Skin protection measures are divided into three steps: skin protection, skin cleansing, and skin care. Skin protection is applied before and during work, skin cleansing before, during, and after work, and skin care after work. It is essential that skin protection is applied strictly, as otherwise skin diseases such as skin cancer, rashes, psoriasis, eczema (inflamed skin areas), allergies, etc., may occur.

How do I know which skin protection is needed?

The risk assessment forms the basis for selecting and using skin protection. This means it must be determined and documented whether skin protection is needed and, if so, which products must be used for specific areas of work. Skin diseases can only be prevented through strict application. Therefore, it is important that training helps make every employee aware of the dangers of not using protection and the resulting consequences.

Can I use skin protection products when wearing gloves?

There are skin protection products that can be used with gloves. Please ensure that your skin protection product is suitable for use with gloves, as there are also skin protection products that can impair both the chemical and mechanical resistance of gloves.

How can I keep track of when to use which product for optimal skin protection?

You can easily keep track with a skin protection plan specifically created for your company.

Skin protection - Suitable protection before, during, and after work!

The skin is a frequently underestimated organ. Only through comprehensive protective measures can you prevent the development of occupational skin diseases. The primary goal is to avoid health damage from chemical and biological substances, extreme temperatures and humidity, as well as the development of wear and contact eczema. A water- and sweat-resistant UV protection is particularly important to reduce the risk of premature skin aging, sun allergies, burns, DNA damage, and skin cancer.

Systematic skin protection

Skin protection measures are generally divided into those applied before or during skin-stressing activities and those applied after they are completed. Products that protect against water-soluble harmful substances such as salts, alkalis, acids, cleaning, and disinfecting agents form a water-repellent protective layer on the skin. Products that protect against fat-soluble harmful substances create a fat-repellent protective layer on the skin. In addition to water- and fat-repellent products, there are also multiple emulsions, suspension ointments, hydro- and oleogels. Some skin protection agents follow the "dualistic action principle." These mixed products are used when contact substances are not clearly definable or when there has been skin contact with different harmful substances that have opposing properties.
