When do I need a helmet and when do I need a bump cap?
Helmets are mandatory in many workplaces. According to EN 397, helmets are required for all activities where falling, flying, toppling, or swinging objects pose a danger. In addition to the classic construction and industrial helmets (EN 397), we also offer helmets for specific purposes, such as electrician helmets (EN 50365), heat protection helmets, or helmets for working at heights (EN 12492).
Bump caps according to EN 812, on the other hand, provide protection against bumps on hard objects, such as protruding objects or machines. They are used whenever, according to the law, there is no helmet requirement, but there is still a risk of head injury during the performed tasks.
How long can I use my helmet?
Helmets have a lifespan of 4 or 5 years, depending on the manufacturer. If the helmet shows defects or damage before the expiration date, or if it has fallen, you should replace the helmet immediately.
Can I label my helmet or apply a sticker?
No. It is generally not allowed to apply stickers or label the helmet with a marker. The adhesives and solvents can damage the material, which would impair its protective performance.

- Size and position of the logo
