Ultrasonic cleaning devices

For the production of high-quality components and assemblies, professional component cleaning is often necessary before further machining or processing. Ultrasonic cleaning also removes the most persistent dirt quickly and carefully during the overhaul of components as well as assemblies, maintenance and installation.

Ultrasonic cleaning devices for optimal cleaning results

  • Single-frequency table-top units are suitable for small to medium-sized components, which are cleaned at a frequency of 37kHz.
  • Multi-frequency floor-standing units are suitable for medium-sized and large components that are cleaned with a frequency of 25kHz coarsely and with 45kHz finely. Use both frequencies for persistently soiled parts and reduce cleaning times again.
  • Ultrasonic cleaning agents ELMA Tec Clean are concentrates designed for industrial parts cleaning, which are enriched with water to form a cleaning medium. Different cleaning concentrates are used depending on the material and application.

Interesting facts about ultrasonic cleaning

The concept of cavitation:

  • Cavitation (from Latin cavitare: to hollow out) describes the process of "bubble formation" in which mechanical sound waves create compression and decompression phases. During the decompression phase, many small cavities are created in the liquid, which implode during the compression phase. The resulting pressure thus removes minute particles from the hard surfaces.

5 ultrasonic modes for best cleaning results:

  • Eco: For careful cleaning with quiet operation and for a longer service life of the device.
  • Degas: Fast degassing (freshly prepared cleaning solutions).
  • Dynamic: Combines the ultrasonic modes "pulse" and "sweep" to increase the overall cleaning performance
  • Pulse: Removes persistent soiling by using a pulsating sound field pattern
  • Sweep: Even spread of ultrasonic power for most cleaning tasks
