Metal circular saw blade DIN

When working with metal circular saw blades, the selection of the tooth form plays a decisive role for the various machining tasks. We distinguish the following tooth shapes and their application:

TOOTH FORM A - Metal circular saw blades DIN 1837 A (fine-toothed with angular toothing)

The THOOTH FORM A is designed for machining brittle and short chipping materials. With this tooth form, the the chip spacesare relatively small and can only accommodate a small chip volume. Due to the small tooth pitches and the small chip volume, the saw blade is only suitable for small cutting depths or for thin-walled materials. Tooth pitches < 2 are suitable for cutting depths up to 4 mm. With tooth pitches > 2 cutting depths greater than 15 mm depth or cross section are possible.

TOOTH FORM B - Metal circular saw blades DIN 1838 B (coarse toothed with curved teeth)

TheTOOTH FORMB B has been developed for cutting solid material with high cutting depths. With this tooth form, the chip spaces are relatively large and can accommodate a large chip volume, making it universally applicable in many applications. The tooth space allows a 30% larger chip volume. Both tough and soft materialsare covered by this tooth form. The tooth pitches range between 3.15 and 12.5 mm, depending on the blade thickness.Components with cutting depths and cross-sections up to amaximum of 100 mmcan be sawn.

TOOTH FORM C - Metal circular saw blades DIN 1838 C (coarse toothed with curved teeth with pre- and regrooving = HZ-toothing)

1521-B1:/Diverses/Saegen/14_29.JPG

The TOOTH FORM C is udes for cutting materials. Due to its splitting tooth form, it is characterized by a high cutting performance when machining materials with low and medium strength.Tooth form C is ideal for very deep cuts and for cutting large diameters when cutting workpieces. When generating grooves,a grooveis created in the cutting base due to the excessive pre-cutter, which means that a straight cutting base is not achieved. The pre-cutter is 0.1 - 0.3 mm higher in radius than the recutting tooth, which gives large saw blades better guidance and thus a more accurate cut.

How are cutting materials differentiated for metal circular saw blades?

Differentiation of cutting materials for metal circular saw blades

1521-B1:/Icons/ORION.JPG Metal circular saws made of HSS cutting material can be used in materials up to 1000 N/mm2. nder certain conditions, this cutting material can also be used in materials up to 1300 N/mm2 (increased wear behaviour).
The cutting material has a high bending strength and can be used in unstable machine conditions. The cutting speed is relatively low when machining with this cutting material.

1521-B1:/Icons/ATORN.JPGMetal circular saws made of solid carbide cutting material can be used in all materials. This cutting material can be used to machine difficult materials with high toughness or hardness.
The cutting material has a low bending strength and can only be used with stable machines and clamping conditions. However, the low bending strength is also an advantage in terms of machining accuracy.
