Our 3M (TM) polyester adhesive tape 8992 can be used universally. It is also ideal as a masking tape in applications involving high temperatures, such as powder coating. Coated with silicone adhesive, the tape adheres to many difficult-to-bond surfaces. It is resistant to chemicals and can be used in a wide range of temperatures and conditions. Masking tape for high temperature requirements The 3M (TM) polyester adhesive tape 8992 is versatile and ideal for masking in applications where high temperature resistance is required. The translucent green carrier film is tear-resistant. Coated with a silicone adhesive, the tape produces sharp colored edges and is therefore ideal for masking workpieces during powder coating, for example. It can be removed from most surfaces cleanly and in one go without fraying or tearing. This tape is a thicker version of 3M (TM) Polyester Tape 8991 and has good chemical resistance, making it suitable for chemical processes and other demanding applications such as anodizing. The pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive is suitable for a wide temperature range between -50 °C and +204 °C.
