Application
For holding tools with Morse taper shank in accordance with DIN 228 A with clamping thread.
Execution
- Alloyed case-hardening steel, core tensile strength at least 950 N/mm².
- Case-hardened HRc 60 ± 2 (HV 700 ± 50), hardness depth 0.8 mm ± 0.2 mm, black oxide finish.
- Taper angle tolerance quality < AT3 in accordance with DIN 7187 and DIN 2080.
- Max. concentricity < 0.005 mm.

The previous standard JIS B 6339 MAS BT was superseded by ISO 7388-2.
