3M (TM) Splicing Tape 906W is water dispersible and has been developed for flying roll changes on offline coating machines in the paper industry. Our tape is supplied on an easily removable, semi-bleached, repulpable release liner. An industry standard for continuous splicing 3M (TM) Splicing Tape 906W for flying splices is water dispersible and has long been an industry standard thanks to its high initial tack and excellent shear strength. Our 3 mil (0.075 mm) thick, white tape consists of a lightweight fabric with a double-sided coating of a strong, repulpable adhesive with high shear strength and a protective paper that is also repulpable and easily removable. Adhesive tape with excellent heat resistance up to 204 °C. Recommended applications: - Flying roll change on an offline spreading machine - Splicing tape on an automatic splicing machine Prevents contamination of the roll material with splicing material that cannot be repulped Thanks to the water-dispersible material, there is no need to separate the splices. The tape is water-dispersible, i.e. soluble in water, and prevents contamination of the paper waste with non-repulpable material. It meets or exceeds TAPPI UM-213, Method A, helping to reduce labor costs and increase the value of waste paper. All adhesive and liner components meet the requirements of the Indirect Food Additives Regulations as described in 21 CFR 176.170 and 21 CFR 176.180. This tape is not recommended for finished roll changes or where bleeding may occur.
