R3287 is a double-coated, paper-backed tape coated with a high-tack, shear-resistant, removable adhesive and equipped with an easy-release paper liner. Effortless bonding of the beginning of the roll to the core and easy roll closure 3M (TM) Repulpable High Performance Double-Sided Tape R3287 is a white, 5.5 mil thick double-sided tape with a fabric backing. This white paper tape with a high tack, repulpable adhesive and an easily removable, repulpable backing paper is suitable for manual, semi-automatic and automatic dispensing. The tape can be used in a wide range of ambient conditions and temperatures - from cold and dry to hot and humid. Thanks to the repulpable material, there is no need to separate the splices. The tape is water-soluble, preventing contamination of the paper waste with non-repulpable material. It meets or exceeds TAPPI UM-213, Method A, helping to save labor costs and increase the value of waste paper. All adhesive and liner ingredients also meet the requirements of the Indirect Food Additives Regulations as described in 21 CFR 176.170 and 21 CFR 176.180. This adhesive is suitable for use in a wide temperature range up to 204°C for up to one minute on different paper types. To achieve optimum results, firm, even pressure must be applied to the bonded area. This achieves the best possible adhesive strength between the tape and the paper surface. The correct contact pressure can be achieved with a plastic squeegee (3M (TM) squeegee PA1-B) or a similar tool.
