3M (TM) splicing tape for flying splices 9356 is a splittable adhesive tape for flying splices with a straight butt joint. It has a double-sided coating of repulpable acrylic adhesive and an easily removable protective paper (also repulpable). A score line in the protective paper facilitates manual application. Our 3M (TM) splicing tape for flying splices 9356 is used for splicing tasks where the splitting force should be normal. The repulpable adhesives offer good shear strength and good thermal resistance for splicing at higher speeds on core-driven presses or an offline coater and adhere to a wide variety of coated papers. The splittable layer has been modified for slightly higher overall splitting force and higher splice seam reliability at high processing speeds.
