Scotch-Brite (TM) Roloc (TM) compact discs XL-UR are made of resistant and durable Scotch-Brite (TM) fiber fleece EXL. They are mainly used for light deburring work. A wide variety of materials can be processed using two different hardnesses. The Scotch-Brite (TM) Roloc (TM) EXL compact wheel is well suited for various applications in metalworking and for finished parts where tight tolerances are required. Our wheels deliver professional results when polishing weld seams, deburring aircraft parts and blending and finishing a variety of metals, plastics and composites. The discs are available in different grit sizes (from fine to medium to coarse). The higher density EXL material provides the robustness and aggressive cutting force required to effectively deburr edges and corners without damaging the workpiece. The lower density grades are soft and adaptable and are well suited for finishing profile surfaces. The Roloc quick-change discs are smaller discs and can be quickly and easily attached to a Roloc sanding disc* so that the discs can be conveniently exchanged between different jobs or in multi-stage finishing processes. The Roloc system ensures a secure grip even in heavy-duty applications, and the wide range of 3M Roloc discs allows you to switch between different applications in seconds. The discs allow you to work with the edge and face of the disc without interruption for hardware assembly. Scotch-Brite surface preparation products contain abrasives that are integrated into nylon or synthetic non-woven fibers. Combining the abrasives with fibers creates a sanding system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open structure ensures cool sanding and reduces the risk of discoloration and deformation of parts. The fibers are dust-repellent, so the abrasive minerals retain their high cutting performance due to less clogging of the fibers; this also extends the service life of the wheel.
