3M (TM) PTFE Adhesive Tape 5480 consists of a conformable, peeled PTFE film (polytetrafluoroethylene). Our sliding and non-stick adhesive tape 5480 is characterized by an extremely low coefficient of friction. Very elastic adhesive tape and therefore well suited for use on 3-dimensionally shaped surfaces. It is therefore particularly suitable for coating rolls, rollers, conveyor belts, packaging, welding and ironing devices. The PTFE adhesive tape quickly and easily creates a sliding coating on different surfaces. The sliding and non-stick effect ensures easy separation of surfaces that are exposed to pressure, temperature changes and other physical factors. The use of this tape can reduce squeaks, rattles and machine noise. PTFE is chemical resistant and can be used as a temporary chemical barrier. The tape has a temperature resistance of -54 °C to 260 °C, making it suitable for many different applications.
