3M (TM) PTFE Adhesive Tape 5481 consists of a peeled, conformable PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) carrier material. Our sliding and non-stick adhesive tape 5480 is characterized by an extremely low coefficient of friction. 3M (TM) PTFE adhesive tape 5481 quickly and easily creates a sliding coating on different surfaces. The peeled version with the PTFE carrier material is easier to form than the extruded product. This adhesive tape is a quick and easy-to-implement solution for reducing friction between moving surfaces. The sliding and non-stick effect ensures easy separation of surfaces that are exposed to pressure, temperature changes and other physical factors. By using the tape, surface mobility can be improved, squeaking and rattling noises eliminated and machine noise reduced. PTFE is chemical resistant and can be used as a temporary chemical barrier. It can be used in a wide temperature range from -54 °C to 260 °C, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
