Aluminum oxide-coated 3-millimeter polyester film backing with a robust synthetic resin system and PSA backing pad. Available in 7 grit sizes between 0.05 and 60.0 microns. Typical applications are stock removal, deburring, finishing, polishing. 3M (TM) Lapping Film 266X is self-adhesive (PSA) on a 3 mil film backing with aluminum oxide grit and is available in grit sizes 0.3 3 9 12 30 40 microns. It is a 3M Lapping Film type P, i.e. it has a harder bonding system and is used for hard materials.
