The 3M (TM) PTFE insulating tape 60 is an insulating tape with PTFE film carrier. This flame retardant tape is suitable for use on coils, harnesses and capacitors in high temperature applications where dielectric strength and rupture resistance are required. This tape is rated for 600 V and can withstand a temperature range of 0 to 180 °C. The 3M (TM) PTFE film 60 is not only characterized by its extremely high temperature resistance, it also has excellent dielectric strength and extremely high elasticity. It can withstand a breakdown voltage of 9,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 180 °C, belongs to insulation class H. The adhesive tape is also flame-retardant in accordance with UL 510 and the high-quality silicone adhesive is also extremely resistant to ageing. As the surface of the PTFE backing is very low-energy, no substances such as resin, adhesive or dirt adhere to it. The 0.102 millimeter thick insulating tape is suitable for coils, capacitors and cable bundles that are exposed to high temperatures.
